Tickets are now on sale and must be booked in advance.

A frighteningly fun night!

Our first Halloween was a great success, the zombies, witches and vampires certainly gave everyone a scare around the farm trail. The disco and courtyard was full of little monsters running around, making crafts and dancing, sure to say they were having a spooktacular time!! Parents could be found in the buzzing resturant tucking into delicious pulled pork sandwiches and homemade pumpkin soup. It was a fangtastic night, so a HUGE thank you is in order to everyone at aston springs farm and those who spent weeks creating props, decorating the trail, dressing up and organsing the event!
I'm already looking forward to next Halloween for even more tricks and treats...

Enjoying the sunshine

It is hectic on the farm at the moment. There are all of the animals to feed, muck out and check they're healthy as well as serving our customers in the shop or talking to visitors about the farm. But when I get a moment, one of my favourite things to do is to go and watch the younger animals.

Cecile, our Highland cow, is a very protective mother. Her calf, Dora, is a heifer which means she's a girl. She doesn't have any horns at the moment but as she gets older she will grow a fine pair like her mum. Every day she is becoming braver and venturing further away from her mum. Yesterday evening, after the visitors had left, I took a few minutes to watch as she was investigating the far end of the field and obviously really enjoying the evening sunshine. I went home with a happy smile on my face - I have the best job in the world!
