deer, donkeys and goats

The deer have settled in nicely and are becoming more and more nosey as the days go by! They are red deer, the largest of our native breeds - they are the ones that you see on BBC Autumn Watch making such a noise during the rut. We will post more details about the deer over the coming weeks.

Unlike the deer, the donkeys are still more interested in the grass than anything else but they will gradually start to get used to our visitors and learn how nice it is to let people stroke their noses and feed them some lush grass from the other side of the fence.

We also have a competition this week to name the 3 new goats which will be picked next weekend. Lets hope the lovely weather holds out and we see you at the weekend!
